Why Kosher Kimchi?

Most kimchi is made with shrimp or other fish products that are not kosher. Yo Mamma's is 100% vegan.

Fresh cabbage and veggies can come with little critters that are also not kosher. We take extra care when we wash, chop, brine, and rinse so that you can eat with a clear conscious.

Because our produce is grown here in Israel, the Torah requires we ensure all proper tithes (teruma and maasser) are taken. And the Korean chili pepper is imported with an 'OK' certification by a mashgiach in Seoul who I know personally.

As if it weren't enough that I learned Issur vaHeter for 2 years in a chabura at the Mir, this kimchi is also certified mehadrin by HaRav Sholom Apelbaum, a serious talmid chacham who literally lives down the block from me in Shaarei Chesed. I'm happy to send you his number if you'd like.

So anyone can now get authentic Korean flavor, funky probiotic goodness, and peace of mind—whether you care about gut health, G*d, or just great taste.
